Memorial ceremony in honour of Prof. Dr. Kromer in the church of the University of Bonn

On 25 September 2023, Prof. Kromer's birthday, a memorial service was held in the Schlosskirche of the University of Bonn - Celebrant Pastor Pues, Protestant Student Community Bonn, with an address by Prof. Rademacher -TH-Bingen.

Award of the Carl Heinrich Dencker Badge of Honour to Prof. Dr Milan Martinov

Prof. Dr. Milan Martinov, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences received the Carl Heinrich Dencker Pin of Honour in recognition of his continuous cooperation with the ILT on a European level in the field of academic education in agricultural biotechnology and for his outstanding efforts to promote young scientists and students from South Eastern European countries.

Welcome to the website of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Technology Bonn and Household Technology Bonn.

 According to its statutes, the association pursues three goals:

  • the promotion of young scientists
  • the promotion and consolidation of international contacts and collaborations
  • the cultivation of contacts between the members of the association (former and active employees of the institute as well as other persons close to the institute)

The Association is composed of two bodies, the Board and the General Assembly.

The Board meets twice a year and discusses applications submitted by the members. Based on its resolutions, the Board carries out the desired and promoted events and support in close consultation with the Institute's management.

Every two years, the members convene for their general meeting. At this meeting, reports are given on the activities of the association and the distribution of resources. New "future topics" are presented and, if necessary, decided upon.

Every four years the board is newly elected, so there is the possibility that it can be "rejuvenated" from among the members.

It has become something of a tradition that the members not only meet for their assembly, but that at the same time a specialist event is held at the Institute, at which as a rule people are also awarded the Carl Heinrich Dencker pin of honour.

Afterwards, the focus is on conversation, and this part of the event is also often referred to as the "alumni meeting". In this round, however, not only are experiences from past times and experiences discussed, but the young generation of doctoral students also presents the current doctoral projects during a tour of the Institute's rooms and can use many an important hint from the "alumni" for their project ideas.
