Animal Welfare and Precision Lifestock Farming
Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) involves the collection, analysis and processing of animal (individual) data and their housing environment on an electronic basis. This requires digital measuring systems suitable for livestock housing that can reliably determine animal welfare and corresponding animal welfare indicators. The development and validation of electronic measurement and evaluation methods is a common goal with other working groups in order to better support the interests of animals and humans in the future through digital assistance systems.
