PROJEKTBESCHREIBUNG
The Ecodesign and the Energy Label directives are two of the policy instruments deployed in the
EU for reducing the environmental impacts of products throughout their entire life cycles. In
the
last years, the European Commission's Directorates for Energy, and for
Enterprise and Industry have implemented ecodesign and labelling
requirements to a wide basket of products. Regulations on energy
labelling and on ecodesign shall be reviewed in light of technological
progress.
The project is carried out for the European Commission's
Directorate General for the Environment by the Institute for Prospective
Technological Studies of the European Commission´s Joint Research
Centre (JRC-IPTS) and support of University of Bonn and Öko Institut.
University of Bonn is involved mainly on the consumer behavior and measurement standard development side.
The project has started in 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2016.
The
questionnaire was developed with support from members of the Institute
for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS) of the European
Commission.
