Mission Statement
Household technology Bonn is concerned with the following main points
Precision in good housekeeping: For each household activity, there must be one or a few ways to perform it optimally. The selection of an optimized method must include all manual and technical possibilities. It must take into account work-ergonomic, socio-economic as well as technological-ecological factors. The further development of existing techniques by new methods or procedures to achieve better precision is part of this optimization.
Analysis of the food chain in the household: Here, it is necessary to study and optimize the ways, processes and techniques under which food enters the household, how it is stored and processed as food. Ultimately, the process of disposing of leftovers (garbage, dishwashing, etc) is also part of this chain. In particular, the goal is to achieve the highest possible quality of food while avoiding health and environmental risks.
Communicating the gained experience: Due to the complexity of the needs, knowledge and skills of the people living and working in the households, there is a wide range of behaviors that play a significant role in the transfer of knowledge. In particular, through the training of students and ph students, through publications, but also through participation in the relevant standardization commitees (national and international), the knowledge gained must be implemented. thus transferred to households in a way that produces results.
The further development of existing techniques by new methods or procedures to achieve better precision is part of this optimization.
